• Three Rivers College will honor 50 years of alumni, faculty, staff, and leadership at its second annual Raider Reunion celebration. The event will be held in the Bess Activity Center on the college’s Poplar Bluff Campus, Saturday, Feb. 6, in conjunction with the Raiders and Lady Raiders basketball games versus State Fair. All Three Rivers former students and graduates; faculty, and staff, former and present; and college supporters are welcome to attend.   • Three Rivers College nursing students Walter Rommel of Broseley and Kathleen Soriano of Poplar Bluff have been awarded the Louise Shull Medler Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship awards both students funding to cover the cost of the NCLEX-RN licensing exam after the completion of their studies. The scholarship was endowed in memory of Louise Shull Medler, a Qulin native who worked as a nurse for over 20 years in the Poplar Bluff area. One of the original nurses for Kneibert Clinic, Ms. Medler also served as a staff trainer for the Department of Social Services. Funding for the scholarship was given by the Shull family and friends.   • Three Rivers College will hold its bi-annual mass casualty training event on Tuesday, November 24. The training helps prepare students in participating programs for a mass casualty emergency such as a natural disaster or terrorist attack and tests the college’s emergency response plans. The training event will be held at the college’s Poplar Bluff campus, near the Bess Activity Center. Students from several fields of study will participate in the training, including three classes of nursing students, EMT students, and Paramedic students. The training will also receive support from regional medical centers, local ambulance services, law enforcement agencies, and fire departments.   • Center Stage and the Three Rivers College Music Department present the hit Andrew Lloyd Weber musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at 7 p.m. Nov. 12-14 and 2 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center on the Three Rivers Campus in Poplar Bluff. Joseph retells the Biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colors as an energetic, family-friendly musical.
