Three Rivers College will hold five Fall registration events at locations across Southeast Missouri, July 27 through August 4.  Registration events will be held in Doniphan High School, 4-7 p.m. July 27; Three Rivers – Piedmont in Clearwater High School, 2-5 p.m. July 28; the Delta Center in Portageville, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. July 29; the South Central Education Consortium in Willow Springs, 4-7 p.m. July 30; and at Three Rivers’ new Sikeston location, 4-7 p.m. August 4. The events provide another opportunity for enrolling for classes, in addition to the assistance offered weekdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the main campus; 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at full-service locations in Dexter, Malden, Kennett and Willow Springs;

The 23rd annual Children's Theatre Drama Camp will be held July 27-31 on Three Rivers College’s Poplar Bluff Campus, in the Tinnin Fine Arts Center. Three Rivers College filled the Black River Coliseum to celebrate the institution’s newest graduating class on Friday, May 15. Over 550 students in Three Rivers’ degree and certificate programs were eligible to walk across the stage during Friday’s ceremony. Larry DeWitt, a Three Rivers alumnus, Sikeston resident, and successful entrepreneur, gave the commencement speech to the Class of 2015. Three Rivers College is reducing the cost for many veterans and their family members to attend the college. The college’s Board of Trustees recently approved altering the college’s tuition policy to charge “in-district” tuition to all veterans, their spouses and children. “Our veterans and their families have been willing to make unfathomable sacrifices for our country, and it’s only right that we do our best to support them when they return home,” said Dr. Wesley Payne, President of Three Rivers College. “This new program will ensure that all of our region’s veterans will have the most affordable access to higher education that we can give them.” “In-district” tuition is the lower rate charged to residents of the college’s four-county taxing

Three Rivers College Chemistry instructor Dr. Mairead Ryan-Anderson received a Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching at a Missouri Community College Association luncheon. “Dr. Ryan-Anderson is a remarkable instructor and an exemplar of what you want in a faculty member,” said Dr. Wesley Payne, President of Three Rivers College. “Dr. Ryan-Anderson sets a high level of expectation for herself and her students and successfully uses hands on demonstrations and lots of interaction to share the world of chemistry with her students,” said Dr. Mary Lou Brown, Dean of Academic Instruction.
