People throughout Southeast Missouri are talking about the Haunted Depot at the Poplar Bluff Historic Train Depot in Downtown Poplar Bluff. A huge group of volunteers have come together to put on a fund raising event to help raise funds for the restoration of the Depot. Chairman of the Haunted Depot committee Rick Carl Woolard tells us, “We have some great folks who have given there time and energy to create an awesome haunted attraction that will scare you.”

Woolard says they have been blessed to have the assistance of The Butler County Search and Rescue team, the SEMO Ham operators, and the Poplar Bluff Historic Depot Restoration Committee. “We have gotten great support from the community that has helped us get the word out.”

The event runs every weekend through Halloween, the dates are the 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th, 29th, 30th, and 31st. The lines open at 7pm nightly with ‘No Scare’ Tours from 7 to 8 and Full Scare from 8pm on.

The Haunted Depot consists of 10 rooms and a maze. The event uses strobe lights, fog machines, and numerous other effects that are guaranteed to scare the heartiest of souls.

Tickets are $7 dollars at the gate but there are $2 dollar off coupon all over town and they can also be printed off the events webpage. Tickets can also be bought online at the event’s webpage that even offers a web exclusive deal that allows you to buy 6 tickets for 20 dollars.
