Three Rivers College will host “Shall We Gather at Three Rivers,” a gospel choir festival, on Saturday, April 25 at 3 p.m. in the Tinnin Fine Arts Center. The festival will feature choirs and singers from across the region. General admission is free.
“We’re very proud to be able to bring such talented musicians to the Tinnin Center for this festival,” said Cindy White, an Instructor of Music at Three Rivers and one of the event’s coordinators. “This is a great opportunity to show off the gospel music talent in the Poplar Bluff region, as well as that of our choir here at Three Rivers.”
Featured choirs at the festival will be the First United Methodist Church Chancel Choir, the Pleasant Hill Mass Choir, and the Three Rivers College Choir. Two gospel quartets and one duo will also be featured: The Touched by the Master Quartet, the First Baptist Church Men’s Quartet, and Cindy White and Sue Crawford of First United Methodist Church.
The festival will also premiere a special composition, “Psalm 23” by Three Rivers College and Central Methodist University student Michael Starnes. “Psalm 23” will be performed by the Three Rivers College Choir.
