PBHS Band Director Stephen Winters concludes the program with a trumpet solo of taps, which attendee Linda Jones described on the district’s Facebook page as one of the best renditions of the tune she had ever heard.
An estimated 70 local vets attended the annual Veterans Day Assembly on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Poplar Bluff Middle School, featuring student interviews with servicemen, essays on Americanism and a special musical tribute led by the Honor Choir.
Organized by the counseling department, the Middle School has been hosting a Veterans Day Assembly for the community since 1997.
