I don’t know about you but I think it’s an exciting event when a new shop opens up in our area. So when I read about the launching of Blue Relics and Revivals on Facebook a couple of weeks ago, I couldn’t wait to see what goodies these creative sisters had up their sleeves.

They need greater mobility, agility and better data management, but the equipment and human resource expense necessary do not scale unless you have close to 100 employees. UPDATE 9/7/2013: Someone evidently went down and paid for the two DVDs because the two council meetings in August have been uploaded to YouTube.com/TransparentLocalGov. Since coming into office in April, Angela Pearson has been posting each city council meeting to YouTube. But that comes as no surprise, Pearson's entire campaign was a call for transparency and accessibility. Having past council meetings available is a valuable resource for those who cannot attend the meeting as well as for those who do not have City Cable's television service. Poplar Bluff’s premiere eatery, bar, coffee shop and all around cool hang out spot is under new ownership. Brian Logee, a 9 ½ year resident of Poplar Bluff and savvy entrepreneur, purchased the venue from founding owners, Larry Brown and Leesa Tilotta. The City's 2012 audited financial statements were finally approved earlier this month which allows us to look at how City Cable performed in 2012 without the "subsidizing" of Open Access. City Cable has lost money four of the last five years. But that really isn't a bad thing. After all, the city loses money on our street department. If run efficiently, I would never oppose the city losing money on (ie, investing in) our telecommunications infrastructure. But let's look at the numbers for City Cable department: 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 Total
The following is the opinion of Brian Becker and does not necessarily reflect the views of SEMO.net or Bluff Technologies, Inc. Dear Mr. Schrieber,In the past two months, you and your Daily American Republic newspaper have, seemingly maliciously, slandered me and my family name on three separate occasions. In the June 14, 2013, edition of the DAR the headline read "JUDGE: BECKER MUST PAY". Other statements within that article, like those below, are at the very least slanderous and reputation-damaging: All of these statements are fabricated and false. They are damaging to me, my reputation and my family. I, Brian Becker, owe the City of Poplar Bluff $0, nada, nothing. And no judgment has been made against me. In the August 7,
