• It seems nearly impossible to fathom that someone as brilliant and funny as Robin Williams could be so tortured emotionally that he takes himself out of the human race. Yet, last week, one by one, each of us across the whole globe, fixed our attention on the sad news of this beloved actor’s suicide. Sometimes, a blip of news in the vast sea of information we are bombarded with daily, seems to slap us so hard in the face that we can almost hear the collective groan rippling through space and time. Then we all try our best to reckon with reality. And what a devastating reality Robin Williams’ death reveals - that someone who, by his very nature, brought

  • The semo.net Surfers took fourth place in the Rivertown Classic II this weekend in Ste Genevieve against a tough field of 9 teams. On Saturday, the team won their second game with an 8 run rally in the fourth inning (final score 12-4). On Sunday, the Surfers took a six run lead in the first inning. Tristen Francisco took to the mound and pitched a nearly flawless game. Francisco was one out away from a no-hitter when the batter pulled a pitch just over the glove of the shortstop. The Surfers went on to win the game 10-1. They lost their final game of the day to the Ste Genevieve Elks, but their performance over the two days earned them

The major bits of the ceremony are coming together nicely; but there are things apart from the wedding itself that require thought and action as well. Taking a husband’s surname---when you are already well-established in professional, medical, insurance, government, credit, banking, and bill-paying circles by another name entirely... That would be one of those things.

  • These two musicians have been performing together since the early 80's. Pat Hunt, from Houston Texas, and Toni Becker have shared stages in some of Texas' best venues when they both were full time rock-n-roll musicians. Years have past, but the same musical drive is deep within them to perform and touch the lives of people in a way only music does. "Pat Hunt's voice is as smooth as Michael McDonald" says Toni Becker of her long-time friend. Joining the two on stage will be Williamsville's rhythm machine, Tim Hicks. This is the second time Pat has flown up to Missouri to perform with Toni. And you can only hear these two at the Wine Rack on Friday night, June
