Short version: our two-and-a-half-year battle with the City was dismissed today by the courts. The longer version goes: that a couple of weeks ago, I found out that my lawyer had lost his license and would not have it reinstated prior to today's hearing. He helped me secure another lawyer and all was well until a few days ago when the new lawyer stopped communicating with me.
We received a letter today from the circuit court stating that the jury trial is set for January 25th, 2013.
We received word today of the time of our next dispute hearing. I would love the support of our community at this meeting if you should be so inclined. Monday, August 6th @ 5pm City Council Chambers

Today we were back in court because the city filed 3 more motions against us. Motion one, Wally withdrew because we had not received it. Motions two and three the judge denied on the spot. I stopped counting how many times Wally made a statement to the judge, I walked up and handed my attorney paperwork which showed Mr Duncan was not fully aware of the facts.
