  • Long before Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, there was Mark Russell, daring to joke and sing about America’s often absurd political process. Russell will perform his unique blend of political humor and witty satiric songs at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center as the last show in the Patrons of the Arts 2014-15 season. Humbug!”, a musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic tale “A Christmas Carol," will come to the Tinnin Fine Arts Center and local schools as part of the Patrons of the Arts 2014-15 season. The show will be performed at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center in Poplar Bluff on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m, and schools across the region Nov. 10-12.   • The Three Rivers College Patrons of the Arts Society has revealed the schedule for its upcoming 2014-15 season, which will include the return of Russian ballet, a Bee Gees tribute concert, Chinese acrobats, musical political satire, and three children's shows. All shows will be performed at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center on the Three Rivers campus in Poplar Bluff. Because of the support of donors to the Patrons of the Arts Society, ticket price for each main show will be $10, and ticket prices for the children's shows in Poplar Bluff will remain $5.
