• POPLAR BLUFF - The Poplar Bluff Police Department received information last week that Jerry Carr, Jr., reported missing in Caruthersville last month, was seen in South Poplar Bluff on Sept 3rd at 5:30 pm. According to a Carr family member, Jerry Carr was a passenger in a maroon 1990’s model Chevrolet regular cab pickup with a black stripe on the hood. Carr may be in the company of an older white male who goes by the name “Cajun;” and he may be frequenting a residence in the 1800 block of Indiana Ave in Poplar Bluff. The tournament was a big success once again thanks to all the sponsors, contestants, and most of all the folks that did all the leg work pulling it off.   • POPLAR BLUFF - Recent Poplar Bluff Technical Career Center graduate of the practical nursing program, Roger Ray, has been selected as a post-secondary male regional award winner of the Missouri Breaking Traditions contest. Ray is eligible for a $100 scholarship from the Foundation of Missouri Women and a $1,000 scholarship from Linn State Technical College.
