BRANSON – Three Rivers College's "voice over internet protocol" project received the Missouri Community College Association's Technology Innovation Award at a ceremony in Branson tonight. Steve Atwood, TRC's director of computer services, accepted the award on behalf of the team that worked on the project. The project enabled the college to upgrade its phone system at a fraction of what it would have cost to contract with an outside vendor. This year marked MCCA’s fiftieth annual convention. POPLAR BLUFF - Three Rivers College is honoring U.S. Veterans this week with a full slate of activities. On Tuesday, a Veterans Day Ceremony was held at 10 a.m. at the campus’ flagpole, with Army/Air Force appreciation Day to follow on Wednesday at noon at the Bess Student Center. Face Painting activities will be part of the fun. Thursday is designated as Navy/Coast Guard Appreciation Day. The week ends with Friday’s R.E.D. Day to remember all deployed troops by wearing red shirts. A “Rock Your Red” bowling party will take place at Bluff Lanes, 6 to 9 p.m., for anyone wearing red that has a college ID.
