  • The semo.net Surfers took fourth place in the Rivertown Classic II this weekend in Ste Genevieve against a tough field of 9 teams. On Saturday, the team won their second game with an 8 run rally in the fourth inning (final score 12-4). On Sunday, the Surfers took a six run lead in the first inning. Tristen Francisco took to the mound and pitched a nearly flawless game. Francisco was one out away from a no-hitter when the batter pulled a pitch just over the glove of the shortstop. The Surfers went on to win the game 10-1. They lost their final game of the day to the Ste Genevieve Elks, but their performance over the two days earned them

Pat Hunt, from Houston Texas, and Toni Becker have shared stages in some of Texas' best venues when they both were full time rock-n-roll musicians. Years have past, but the same musical drive is deep within them to perform and touch the lives of people in a way only music does.   • The 6 & 7 year old team sponsored by semo.net in the Christian Athletic League has had a great season this year, finishing the regular season 8-2 in 2nd place and winning 2nd place in the end of season tournament. The semo.net Padres lost 15 - 12 in the Championship game against the Braves on Tuesday night at the First Baptist ball field in Poplar Bluff. The teams played a great game and all their coaches and parents were so proud.
