  • Several people have contacted us about emails claiming to be from technical support, regarding expired virus definitions or suspicious activity. The emails also instruct you to run an attached "patch file". DO NOT open these files. This is a virus which spreads via email. There are several strains of this virus, making it difficult to catch and filter out. The experts at Postini are working to ensure that all the strains are caught. If you receive one of these emails, just delete it. We will never send you "patch" programs attached to email messages. These numbers will be replacing the primary access numbers you currently use.   • Last night around 5:00pm Windstream had a fiber cable that was cut and this resulted in a disruption of long distance services to most of everyone in Windstream territories. This of course caused all DSL customers and a lot dial-up customers in the affected areas to not have Internet service. Windstream restored service last night around 11:00pm and all seems to be doing well today. We personally want to thank the Windstream Field Technicians for their hard work in getting the problem resolved. We also want to thank you, our customers, for be being patient during this outage. We are sorry if it caused you any inconveniences.
