Our department has received complaints from numerous citizens regarding the Pokemon Go players with safety concerns. Complaints have stemmed from players trespassing on private property during game play, players walking out in front of moving motor vehicles not paying attention to their surroundings while playing the game along with other complaints. The Dexter Police Department worked a motor vehicle accident on 07/14/2016 involving a Pokemon Go player being dragged by a motor vehicle subsequently being transported by EMS to a local hospital for their injuries. Jul 15,DEXTER - On 12-17-14 at 10:14 PM Dexter PD and the Stoddard County Sheriff's Department responded to Timber Creek Subdivision in reference to a male subject that discharged a firearm inside his residence. Officer's met with the suspect's family members outside the residence and were told the suspect had fired two shots in a bedroom window. Officers were told family members had collected all the firearms inside the residence prior to law enforcement arrival and the suspect was still inside the residence. Dec 18,DEXTER - Police Dept. Maj. Larry Patterson, Jr., Thursday said officers here recovered a vehicle stolen from Kennett after chasing its driver both on city streets and on foot. The major said at approximately 1:15 am Thursday officers saw a blue Buick passenger car traveling south on Catalpa Street. The Buick was being operated in an erratic manner, Patterson noted. When police attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver failed to yield and the chase began, the major said. Police reports Friday indicate phony bills popped up at several locations in Dexter, including Thursday at 1608 W. Business 60; 819 W. Business 60; and 1603 W. Business 60. Saturday police reported fake currency passed Friday at 707 W. Specialty in the city. These events are being investigated by the department's Criminal Investigations Division, police said Saturday.
