• Center Stage and the Three Rivers College Music Department present the hit Andrew Lloyd Weber musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at 7 p.m. Nov. 12-14 and 2 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center on the Three Rivers Campus in Poplar Bluff. Tickets are just $10. They can be purchased in advance at the Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce and the Three Rivers Financial Services Office. Tickets also will be sold at the door. Joseph retells the Biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colors as an energetic, family-friendly musical. Audiences will follow Joseph as he outwits his unethical brothers, journeys from slave to prophet, and eventually attempts to reunite with his long-lost family.

  • The new classroom building on the Three Rivers College campus in Poplar Bluff has acquired a new name, thanks to a donation accepted recently by the college’s Board of Trustees. Naming rights to the new “Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center” were secured by the Robert W. Plaster Foundation, a charitable organization in Lebanon, Mo., in exchange for a significant seven-figure donation to be used toward the cost of the building. The donation also makes the building the new home of Three Rivers’ business programs, as part of the Plaster Foundation’s emphasis on business, free enterprise, and entrepreneurship education. “We’re extremely pleased to partner with the Plaster Foundation to create the Robert W.   • Computer Applications Classes The Continuing Education department at Three Rivers College will hold a 6-week Computer Applications class from 5:30 – 8 PM, Monday evenings from September 21 – October 26.  Chris Waite will teach students the basics of the Microsoft Office Suite:  Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.  The cost of the class is $40.   • The Three Rivers College Patrons of the Arts Society has announced the schedule for its upcoming 2015-16 season, which will include the return of Russian ballet, a Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute concert, Chinese acrobats, two children’s shows, a performance by the Vienna Boys Choir, and more. All shows will be performed at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center on the Three Rivers campus in Poplar Bluff. Because of the support of donors to the Patrons of the Arts Society, ticket price for each main show will be $10, and ticket prices for the children’s shows in Poplar Bluff will remain $5.
