• Here's the form: https://www.consumer.ago.mo.gov/ Many have asked us if there is anything they can do about the current situation of having to use City Cable. The only real place to file a complaint is on the AGO's Consumer Complaint department. I pay for Cable Internet service on the north side of town and City Cable is the only broadband service available; so I filed a complaint on the form.

  • Dear Cable Internet customers, Amazing how I'm now being blamed for this Monday deadline. I know many (or maybe most) of you have been told by the clerks at MyCityCable that somehow I'm responsible for all of this so I'd like to at least attempt to set the record straight. I met with Michael Pry & David Presley on Tuesday, April 5th, and confirmed that if we lost our injunction we could provide them an electronic list of all customers within days of the judgment being rendered to transfer over. David Presley took me into Mr. Bach's office, who agreed to the same. We all agreed that the customer should not suffer because of our differences or the lawsuit.

If we do have to charge for email after the first six months we will give you plenty of warning before the $1.95 charge would apply. If you have problems with your @semo.net email address, don't hesitate to call us for help at 686.9114.

  • First, I know that many have been praying for our staff and company and we appreciate and are humbled by the outpouring. The hearing on Friday went very well. We told our story and supported it with facts. We were also able to shed light on many of the city's allegations which made our case even stronger.

  • Today SEMO.net received a counterclaim from the City of Poplar Bluff with three counts claiming that SEMO.net has not paid all invoices in full and owes $120,000. We want to assure the citizens of Poplar Bluff that we filed a letter of dispute with every payment made since the new rates went into effect last fall. We filed our dispute according to the process stated in the "Municipal Utilities and City Cable Policy Manual Appendix C" and filed an appeal as explained in step S3:03. However, the city did not schedule a de novo dispute hearing before the Municipal Utilities Advisory Board after we asked on a number of occasions for the dispute hearing to be scheduled.
